Annual Club Membership

Annual club membership in Oregon Youth Lacrosse has both requirements which our clubs must fulfill and services which our league offers to our club. Both are outlined below.

Clubs must register for the season before they will be able to register teams and schedule games.

SERVICES FOR MEMBERS

  • Facilitate and Assist in Scheduling
  • Train and Certify Officials
  • Promote events hosted by our members
  • Help clubs combine to form teams as needed
  • Help clubs manage disputes as they arise
  • Provide training opportunities for coaches and players
  • Clinic loaner kit available for members (sticks, balls, etc)
  • Guidance and Best Practices Information
  • Provide safe space for competition
  • Develop collaborative vision for us to grow together

REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP

  • Non-Profit Status
  • Public Board of Directors
  • Access to either school or park and rec fields within defined boundary
  • Two million dollar aggregate insurance
  • Use only OYL certified officials for games
  • Recognize boundaries of other clubs in regards to player recruitment
  • Follow league best practices in regards to scheduling and team formation
  • Follow OYL guidelines for team formation
  • Develop written Emergency Action Plan for home games and practices

Cost of Annual Club Membership = $50
