OYL Spring League

THE OYL Spring Rec Lacrosse League runs from March until the first weekend in June and encourages recreational competition between our member clubs. The league will provide a platform and aid in the scheduling of your games, train your officials, provide best practices information and help resolve any disputes.

Divisions

Our league offers the following divisions for recreational play:

  • 1st/2nd Grade (U8)
  • 3rd/4th Grade (U10)
  • 5/6th Grade (U12)
  • 7th/8th Grade (U14)

Season Timeline

3/2/2024 - Practice begins

3/18/2024 - Final Scheduling Meeting

3/25-29 Spring Break

4/6/2024 - First Week of Games

4/7/2024 - EPL Lax Jam

6/1/2024 - Last Weekend of Games

Team Registration Costs

The club cost for each team registration is $25. Players should expect to pay dues directly to their club.

Additional Costs

Scheduling and payment of officials and facilities is the responsibility of the home club for all contests.

Team Formation Guidelines

If you have more than one team at each age the teams should be balanced in skill level.

Registration Details

When registering teams please include a unique identified (such as a color) for each team if you have more than one team in each age group.

Does our club need to be registered before we can register teams?

Yes.

Do we need to register each team separately?

Yes.

How does scheduling work?

Teams may arrange their own games and / or have games assigned to them based on preference. We ask all teams to leave at least a few open dates in their schedule prior to the scheduling meeting to accommodate teams that are having a hard time scheduling games.

Can a team play more than one game in a day?

Yes.
